Manufacturer warranty
Our products carry the warranty undertaken by the manufacturer; the term is shown on each product page. To claim it, the electronic invoice or the order number is enough, no separate warranty card is needed.
Statutory guarantee (for consumers)
Under Hungarian Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.), durable consumer goods above HUF 10,000 carry a statutory guarantee, in bands set by the selling price:
- HUF 10,000 – 100,000: 1 year
- HUF 100,001 – 250,000: 2 years
- Above HUF 250,000: 3 years
The guarantee period starts when the product is handed over.
Warranty of conformity and product warranty
Under a consumer contract, the Hungarian Civil Code lets you bring a claim for warranty of conformity against us within 2 years of receipt. You may also turn directly to the manufacturer with a product warranty claim, for 2 years from the product being placed on the market. Business (B2B) purchases are covered by the general warranty rules of the Civil Code and by the manufacturer warranty shown on each product.
How to make a warranty claim
- Write to info@byb.hu with the order number, a description of the fault and, if possible, a photo or video.
- Once we have agreed, send the product to the address given (1 Mihály Dénes utca, 2151 Fót).
- We repair or replace the faulty product; if that is not possible, we reduce the price or refund it.
