This page is short, because byb.hu uses few cookies. There is no visitor tracking and no advertising pixel in the shop.
1. Which cookies we use
Our own cookies
- byb_kosar: the identifier of your basket, so the items you added stay in it even when you are not signed in. It lives for 14 days.
- byb_munkamenet: the session of the signed-in customer, so you stay signed in. It lives until you close the browser; if you choose „keep me signed in” at sign-in, for 30 days.
- byb_suti: your cookie decision under this policy, so that we do not ask again. It lives for 1 year.
The basket and session cookies are so-called httpOnly cookies, so scripts running in the browser cannot reach them, only our server reads them. None of the cookies contains a name, an address or card data, only a random identifier and your own decision.
Third-party cookie
Cloudflare Turnstile. A bot check runs on the sign-in, registration and password-reset forms to protect accounts against automated attacks. For this, Cloudflare may place a technical cookie and token, whose lifetime Cloudflare determines.
We regard this cookie as strictly necessary for protecting accounts, so under Section 155 (4) of Hungarian Act C of 2003 on electronic communications we do not ask for separate consent to store it. The further processing of the data it obtains, your IP address and the technical properties of your browser, rests on our legitimate interest, Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, against which you have the right to object.
The check runs on those three pages only; it does not follow your browsing or your purchase. While providing the service, Cloudflare may process the data outside the European Economic Area as well, framed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
Cookies on the payment page
When you pay by card, we redirect you to the payment page of Viva.com. The cookies placed there are governed by the cookie policy of Viva.com; we have no influence over them.
2. What we do not use
There is no analytics cookie. We do not measure how many pages you viewed, where you arrived from or how long you stayed.
There is no marketing or advertising cookie. The shop contains no Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, remarketing code or anything similar.
We do not pass on browsing data for advertising purposes.
If this ever changes, we will ask you in advance in the consent bar, and we will update this page. No measurement code goes into the shop without your consent.
3. The consent bar
When you first open byb.hu, a bar informs you about cookies.
Every cookie above is required to run the shop, so without them you could not sign in, add to the basket or order. Under Section 155 (4) of Hungarian Act C of 2003 on electronic communications these need no separate consent, so the bar primarily informs you.
If we introduced an analytics or marketing cookie in the future, it would appear separately in the bar, switched off, and would only switch on if you expressly accept it.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer.
4. External connection: fonts
The fonts of this site are served from our own server. This creates no cookie and sends no request to a third party, so your IP address does not reach anyone because of it.
5. How to get rid of cookies
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can also block them.
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and site data
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage website data
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
If you delete our cookies, your basket empties and your sign-in ends. If you block them entirely, the shop will not be usable, because the basket and the sign-in cannot work.
