Description

The Akyga® AK-SC-E13 Type 2 plug is an accessory designed for replacing or assembling EV charging cables. It is perfect for replacing a damaged connector of an existing adapter, as well as for creating a customised EV charging cable. The plug is equipped with a Type 2 male connector (IEC62196-2), commonly known as Mennekes. This variant is one of the most popular connector types on the European electric vehicle market. The male connector is used to connect the cable on the EVSE charging station side.

The Akyga Type 2 service plug is characterised by high-quality construction and durability, ensuring long-term and reliable use. In addition, the Type 2 connector ends have been silver-plated. This increases their resistance to corrosion and allows for current loads of up to 32 A, which is also suitable for single-phase systems.

The assembly of the Type 2 plug should be performed by a specialist to ensure correct operation and avoid any potential hazards. Improper installation of the connector can cause property damage and health or life-threatening situations (e.g., due to electric shock). We recommend that the installation be performed in accordance with the highest safety standards.
