Description
The Akyga® AK-EC-15 charger is designed for electric cars imported from America. It has a standard Type 1 plug for these cars, which is made of high-strength material. Thanks to this, an accidental drop or being run over by a car will not result in having to buy a new charger. What's more, the long, 5 m cable has been equipped with a special ControlBox. This is used to adjust the current and monitor the current charging parameters. The built-in LED screen displays: charging current and power, mains voltage, energy consumed by the device, charger temperature and charging time. Below the display there are buttons for selecting the amperage and setting the charging time limit. Five amperage values are available: 6, 10, 16, 20 and 32 A. This way you can be sure that the internal charger of the electric car will not draw more current than the installation can handle.
The IEC 60309 connector used for the charger is designed for 32 A, which provides up to 7.2 kW of power. So, in order to be able to use the charger to its full potential, robust electrical installation and adequate protection are necessary.
