Description
The Akyga® AK-EC-20 is a British electric car charger designed for vehicles located in the UK and Ireland. It is equipped with a BS 1363 (G) plug, also known as a British plug, making it fully compatible with the electrical systems of these countries.
The AK-EC-20 EV charger features the popular IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector, commonly known as Mennekes. This is the most widely used EV charging standard on the European market. As a result, it is compatible with almost every electric vehicle available. Furthermore, the convenience of use is ensured by the 5-meter cable, which allows for easy connection to the power source.
The heart of the charger is the ControlBox, which provides information on the current charging status and displays important data on the LCD display, such as charging current, voltage, energy consumption, device temperature, and charging time. The device provides an adjustable charging current, with options of 8 A, 10 A, and 13 A, allowing it to be adapted to the capabilities of the electrical installation and the specifications of the vehicle.
The AK-EC-20 charger is designed to operate effectively even in challenging conditions, confirmed by its IP54 rating. Its robust construction ensures protection against dirt and moisture, which is crucial for safety and long-term use.
The built-in protection systems, such as OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, and SCP, provide comprehensive protection for both the charger and the charged vehicle, safeguarding against excessive current, voltage, overload, overheating, and short circuits. The elegant bag included in the kit also facilitates the transport and storage of the charger, which is highly valued by users who prioritize mobility and convenience.
