Description
The Akyga® AK-EC-22 is a three-phase electric vehicle charger designed for fast and efficient charging. It features a 5-meter cable terminated with a Type 2 connector and a CEE 5-pin plug. The Type 2 connector is recognized as the European standard for EV charging, ensuring compatibility with most electric cars on the market. The CEE 5-pin plug allows for charging from a 400V mains socket, maximizing the charger's capacity.
Applied Charging and Protection Technologies
The AK-EC-22 EV charger is equipped with advanced protections, such as OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP, and special B-type RCD protection. These features provide protection against excessive current, voltage, and overheating for both the charger and the vehicle battery. They also guard against dangerous DC fault currents, ensuring safety during every charging session.
Functionality and Control
The central element of the EV charger is the ControlBox, which provides adjustable charging current. This is a huge advantage, as it allows the user to adapt the charging power to current energy needs and grid conditions. The car charger allows the user to choose from four current settings: 10 A, 16 A, 24 A, and 32 A. This makes it possible to connect the charger both in a home garage and in a more energy-demanding industrial environment. What's more, the built-in LCD screen allows monitoring of the most important charging parameters, such as current, power, mains voltage, total energy consumed by the device, charger temperature, and charging time.
