PCM circuit ensures safety
Powering portable devices often exposes batteries to intensive use and, at times, user errors. That's why the AKY2455 Li-Ion 18650 battery is equipped with a PCM (Protection Circuit Module) circuit, which plays a crucial role in protecting both the battery and the connected devices. It provides protection against:

The Akyga® AKY2455 18650 battery has a standard cylindrical housing with a diameter of 18.5 mm and a height of approximately 70 mm (including built-in PCM protection). Its nominal voltage is 3.7 V, and its actual capacity is 2900 mAh, which means a solid energy reserve while maintaining a small size. The battery operates in the typical operating temperature range (-20 °C to 60 °C), and the INR (LiNiMnCoO₂) technology used allows for a continuous discharge current of 1.5 A without the risk of overheating or performance degradation. The built-in PCM system actively protects the battery by shutting it down when thresholds are exceeded – all without additional external electronics.
