Description
The Akyga® AKY0563 LP653454 Li-Po battery is a high-performance power source designed to power modern portable electronics. It has a capacity of 1400 mAh and a stable nominal voltage of 3.7 V, making it ideal for devices that require long operating times on a single charge.
The lithium-polymer technology used allows for a thin and flexible cell design while providing good energy efficiency. As a result, this type of battery is used in many mobile devices – from consumer electronics to DIY projects. Due to their light weight and compact casing, Li-Po batteries are also used in drones, remote-controlled models, and wearable devices.
The built-in PCM module protects the cell from overcharging, over-discharging, and current overload, which significantly increases battery safety.
Construction and advantages of Li-Po batteries
Li-Po technology is a type of rechargeable battery in which the electrolyte is in a polymer form, such as a gel or solid. This allows the cells to have a flat and lightweight design. Compared to traditional Li-Ion solutions, such batteries are often lighter and capable of delivering higher peak currents, which is important in devices that require sudden bursts of power.
A single LP653454 cell should be charged with a power supply with a nominal voltage of 4.2 V, which is why the battery should only be charged with a charger designed for this type of battery. The appropriate charging current prevents overheating and extends cell life.
It is also worth remembering that the battery capacity is closely related to the cell size – the higher the capacity, the larger the battery dimensions usually are.
Safety and operation
When using this type of battery, monitor the voltage and avoid deep discharge. It is recommended to charge at room temperature, and the voltage should not be allowed to drop below 3 V per cell.
The AKY0563 model is equipped with a 150 mm cable terminated with a JST 2-pin connector, which facilitates installation in electronic projects and devices requiring a reliable power source.
