The Akyga® AK-SC-E28 adapter allows you to connect devices with a classic mains plug (Schuko) to a public electric car charging station with a Type 2 connector. This is a practical solution if you need 230 V power supply, but only an electric car charger is available – for example, during travel, a bike tour, or camping.
A simple method to convert a Type 2 connector into a Schuko socket
The adapter is equipped with a Type 2 male connector (IEC 62196) that you can connect to an electric car charging station, and a female Schuko connector to which you can connect a standard mains power supply – for example, an electric bicycle, scooter, rectifier, or other equipment with a power of up to 3.5 kW. This means that any charger with a CEE 7/4 plug can be used where usually only connectors for electric vehicles are available.
