BYB warranty and RMA: fault reporting, replacement, credit

13 Sept 2026BYB

For a faulty product, send us the order number, the part number and a short description of the fault. We get back to you about the return and the replacement or credit.

Our commitment in one sentence

Replacement or refund, not inspection. Up to a gross purchase price of HUF 250,000 we replace a faulty product, or refund its price, within the warranty period. We do not inspect it, we do not repair it, and we do not pass it on to the manufacturer.

Above HUF 250,000 the manufacturer's repair or replacement route applies, but we handle it for you: writing to us is enough. This undertaking comes on top of the mandatory warranty and statutory guarantee and does not limit them; for resellers the partner agreement also applies.

How long it lasts

The length of the manufacturer's warranty depends on the product and is shown in months on the product page. On top of that there is the statutory guarantee, whose length depends on the purchase price. The two exist side by side: neither shortens the other, and the more favourable one always applies.

The process, in four steps

1. Write to us. The order or invoice number, the product name and one sentence about what it does are enough. If you have a photo or a screenshot, send that too.

2. We tell you what to do. We tell you where to send it and what will happen to it. We do not send you round in circles between the manufacturer and the service centre.

3. Replacement or credit. Below the limit you choose: you get the same product again, or we credit its price. As a reseller you can also offset the credit against your next order.

4. We close it, in writing. You get a record of what happened and when, so that you can tell your end user too.

What to tell the end user in the meantime

Tell them as much as you know for sure: the fault is reported, a replacement is on its way, and you will let them know as soon as there is a date. An uncertain but honest answer is worth more than a precise one you cannot keep.

If the system is down on a channel and the site cannot wait, tell us that too. If we have the product in stock, the replacement can start before the faulty unit comes back.

What the warranty does not cover

Faults caused by lightning, power surges, water ingress where the protection rating was not suitable, mechanical damage or incorrect power supply are not manufacturing defects. If in doubt, write to us and we assess it under the warranty terms.

Two things prevent most of them: a device with suitable ingress protection outdoors, and surge protection at the power feed. Both are worth listing as separate items in the quote.
