How we check BYB's price comparisons
In the model finder the date of measurement is shown next to the competitor model. Competitor prices older than 21 days are removed from the comparison.
No countdown timer and no “only 2 left”
We do not show pressure tactics. A clock that runs out at midnight will be there again tomorrow, and everyone knows it. What we give instead: quantity and date, which is enough on its own if stock really is low.
No “best price guarantee”
We cannot check every Hungarian shop every day, so we do not claim it. What we show: the measured price of a specific competitor model, with the date of the check. Anyone who looks it up finds the same.
A price comes with a date, and it expires
Every competitor price shows the date it was checked. If the check is older than 21 days, the price is removed from the page, and nothing is left in its place. An outdated price is worse than none: once it turns out that one of our figures is old, nobody believes the next ten.
The same rule applies to the tables in knowledge base articles. If a price table has disappeared from an article, that is not a bug, it is the rule working.
What we do not claim
We do not say that the hardware is the same as the competitor's. Neither manufacturer publishes sensor or chip data for these models, so we cannot verify it. What we put side by side: the two data sheets and the two prices.
We do not show competitor technical data without a source. If a row has not been confirmed from the manufacturer's data sheet, it says that it is to be checked, not a number that looks good.
Stock and delivery come from the system, not the text
Fixed text on the site does not state stock, dates or delivery times. Those differ by product and by the hour, so they come from the product page, from live data. A static “in stock” becomes a lie within a day.
