What to check before switching
- Night imaging: check on both data sheets whether the camera sees in the dark with IR or with white light, and what the illumination range is.
- Ingress protection: compare the IP ratings of the two models.
- Event handling: in a mixed system, check that the recorder accepts the camera's motion alarm and the other events you need over ONVIF. A working live view does not confirm this.
