From Hikvision to Tiandy, in six points

1. 1
Device discovery: SearchConfig Tool instead of SADPSearchConfig Tool finds the devices on the network, lists them, and lets you set their IP addresses. Available for Windows and Mac. Batch activation and password reset are in the same program.
2. 2

Look up the initial IP address of the Tiandy device in the quick guide for the exact model; the guide can be searched by model number on help.tiandycloud.com. SearchConfig Tool also shows the address of each device it finds on the network.
3. 3
Activation: no factory password here eitherYou set the password on first boot. Also fill in the security question and the email address: password reset depends on them.
4. 4
Mobile app: EasyLive Plus instead of Hik-ConnectFor iPhone and Android, free. Add the recorder on the customer's phone by scanning its QR code.
5. 5
PC software: Easy7 VMS instead of iVMS-4200Free, for Windows. Multi-site management, playback and export.
6. 6
Firmware and manual: in one place, no sign-inSearch by model number on help.tiandycloud.com to get the firmware version and the manual.

Before mixing brands: an ONVIF connection alone does not guarantee every function. Check support on both the camera and the recorder, then test video, recording and the events you need, such as motion alarms. With another manufacturer's camera, also check how the recorder picks it up on its PoE port.
