Buying security equipment as an installer at BYB
As an installer you see your own net price and the orderable quantity after logging in. You report a faulty product to us; the Warranty and RMA article describes the procedure.
The price level is on the company, not on the orders
As a reseller you get your own net price level, and you see it after signing in on the product page, in the cart and in the price list. You do not have to ask for a discount on each order, and you do not have to wait for a reply to know what something costs.
You apply on the site, on the reseller page. The conditions for each level are listed there too.
Quantities, not labels
The product page shows how many units there are, not just “in stock”. For an installer this is the difference: if you have to fit eight cameras tomorrow, “in stock” tells you nothing, the quantity does.
If an item is not available, we order it in for you, and after that we keep local stock of it for your further purchases. The first unit takes the longer route, the second does not.
Feed and machine access
If you have your own shop or system, you can also take our range as a machine-readable file: XML, CSV or JSON, at your own price level. We set up the link once, and after that your system updates itself.
A discontinued item does not silently disappear from the file: it stays in with zero stock and a flag, so that your shop can switch it off instead of still advertising it as available. Details are on the partner integration page.
Invoice, payment, delivery
Every order is invoiced. The checkout shows the payment methods and delivery charges before you place the order, with no rounding and no later additions.
For larger, repeat orders the payment terms move with your turnover. This is not decided by an automated system: write to us and we will discuss it.
If it is faulty
Replacement or refund, not inspection. The limit and the procedure are described in the Warranty and RMA article.
This matters to an installer because the return trip is your money. A replacement does not mean waiting three weeks for an inspection while a channel is down at the end user's site.
If something that would make your work easier is missing from this list, write to us!
