What size recorder and hard drive do you need?
Enter how many cameras you are installing and how many days of recordings you need to keep. We estimate recording time using the daily data volumes shown below.
Recorder
TC-R3104
4 channels, 4 PoE ports, 1 drive bay, up to 8 TB per drive. Incoming bandwidth: 60 Mbps.
Together, the cameras send 16.4 Mbps to the recorder.
According to the manufacturer's data sheet, the PoE budget is 32 W. Add up the cameras' power draw from their own data sheets and leave some headroom.

4 TB
4 cameras (4 MP) recording continuously write 177 GB a day. This drive holds about 22 days of recordings.
76 990 Ft Made to order
View the driveThe calculation assumes H.265 recording at 25 fps: at 4 MP, 4096 kbit/s per camera, or 44.2 GB a day with continuous recording. The bitrate is Hikvision's recommended H.265 value, as Tiandy does not publish such a table; the real figure depends on the scene and the camera settings.
We pick the recorder from our Tiandy recorders in stock first, then from those available to order: the smallest one with enough channels, incoming bandwidth and drive bays. The specifications come from the manufacturer's data sheet; we do not recommend recorders with incomplete data.
